The Signl

The Signl is Nick Smith, James Cook and Alix Wood. Nick is based in Amsterdam, Alix in Sheffield and James in Frome. The Signl is a long distance collaboration whose goal is to make atmospheric music that's both engaging and a tad experimental.

Their first album is entitled Sirens and is based on an art installation of the same name by the Dutch artist Yani. Nick did the sound design for the installation and then decided to use it as the basis for a music project. Both James and Alix added their unmissable magic to help create what one listener described as power ambient.
